The financial analyst for an EU project and PhD at the University of Zagreb spoke about this in an exclusive interview with Balkan Business Club.
— The forum brings together politicians, experts and representatives of institutions from Russia and the Balkan countries to discuss cooperation and the development of relations. This strengthens political dialogue between Russia and the Balkan states, particularly during a period of international tension, — the expert noted.
According to Bruno Rukavina, one of the key themes of the forum is also economic cooperation, such as trade, investment and joint projects, through which new business opportunities appear. The forum also provides an opportunity for representatives of various Balkan countries to meet, which facilitates the exchange of views and the resolution of regional issues.
— The Balkans occupy an important geopolitical position between the European Union, NATO, China and Russia, so such meetings can influence the political balance in Europe. Furthermore, the forum promotes cultural, educational and scientific cooperation, which helps to strengthen long-term relations between Russia and the Balkan states.
The 3rd economic forum ‘Russia-Balkans in the Architecture of a Multipolar World: Prospects for Economic Integration’ took place in Moscow on 13–14 March. It was attended by over 160 delegates from Balkan countries and 18 regions of the Russian Federation.
