Bojan Torbica, a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, stated that in the light of global events, Russia and Serbia must develop cooperation and rely on each other more and more:
‘In the light of global events, Serbia and Russia must cooperate and rely on each other more and more. The past has shown that in the most difficult moments you can count on the help of your friends, which the Serbian and Russian states and peoples remain to this day’ he noted while participating on the 3rd economic forum ‘Russia-Balkans in the Architecture of a Multipolar World: Prospects for Economic Integration’
He underlined that Russia and Serbia have ‘much to offer each other’ in the fields of the economy, business and investment.
‘The obstacle lies in the fact that we are separated by countries that are members of the European Union and NATO, which in recent years, not to mention decades ,have not been particularly favourable towards both Russia and Serbia’ the parliamentary explained.
Also Torbica stressed that these obstacles can be overcome, and that the new world order will help to strengthen ties and develop cooperation between countries.
The 3rd economic forum ‘Russia-Balkans in the Architecture of a Multipolar World: Prospects for Economic Integration’ took place in Moscow on 13–14 March. It was attended by over 160 delegates from Balkan countries and 18 regions of the Russian Federation.
