President of the International Slavic Council Sergey Baburin held talks in Belgrade with the president of the Pan-Serbian Slavic Movement, Archpriest Jovan Plamenac, and Presidium members Ranko Gojkovic and Vladimir Kršljanin on the possibility of holding the XII Pan-Slavic Congress in Belgrade this autumn. Full agreement was reached on the need to ensure continuity and strengthen the unity and influence of the international Slavic movement.
The Serbian representatives expressed their full readiness to hold the XII Pan-Slavic Congress in Belgrade: the congress had been scheduled to take place in Slovakia, but given the measures introduced by the European Union, this is now rather difficult, and a solution may not be found in Bratislava, which had been designated as the host city. In that case, the events will take place in the Serbian capital. It is important to note that members of the Initiative Committee of the Serbian-Russian Brotherhood and members of the leadership of the First Serbian Movement also took part in the discussion.
It should be recalled that well-known Russian public and political figure and leading expert in constitutional law Sergey Baburin recently took part in an international conference of the Serbian Association of International Criminal Law at the Omorika Hotel on Tara, together with experts in the field from Serbia, Republika Srpska, Azerbaijan, Albania, Belarus, Georgia, Greece, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Russia, North Macedonia, Slovakia and Turkey. His report, ‘Spiritual and Moral Factors in the Division of International Criminal Law’, and his essay, ‘A Life Based on Spiritual and Religious Values’, published as an introduction to the conference materials, made a strong impression on the participants.
At this year’s conference, Baburin and the prominent Italian lawyer Pino Arlacchi, former Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, were elected honorary vice presidents of the Serbian Association of International Criminal Law.
