It is being held at the Kaliningrad House of Youth. The organizers are the Representative Office of the Russian-Balkan Center for Business Cooperation and Culture in Kaliningrad Region and the International Friendship Club of Kaliningrad Region, with support from the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization Center for Artistic Culture and Art \u2018Canvas, Oil\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Balkan People\u2019 exhibition is the result of several trips across the countries of the Balkan region. It is not a travel report and not a tourist perspective, but a record of life in the moment, between past and present, between East and West. In this series, the Balkans are not geography, but a state of being.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Evgeny Chernov, author of the photo exhibition:<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>\u2018My interest focuses on the everyday life of people, their gestures, habits, the visual rhythms of the city, and the way the environment shapes a person. What matters to me is not the \u2018event\u2019, but the emotional truth of the moment.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Balkans inspired me with their distinctive rhythm and their complex, multi-layered history of coexistence among peoples. \u2018Balkan People\u2019 is a visual story about people living in a dense, at times rough, but very alive environment. There is no heroization in the frame, and there is no condemnation. There is only observation, which is why it was important for me to show the ordinariness of life without embellishment, physicality and gesture as language, the city as an extension of the person&#8230; The photographs do not illustrate specific events \u2013 each of them is an independent fragment of a larger shared feeling!\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The exhibition is open from May 21 to June 22, 2026, daily from 10:00 to 20:00.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Beginning May 21, 2026, residents of Kaliningrad will be able to visit the \u2018BALKAN PEOPLE\u2019 exhibition.
