On this occasion Russian-Serbian Friendship Center (official representation of Russian-Balkan Center of Business Partnership and Culture in Mariupol) held organized the roundtable discussion on the topic \u2018The role of a personality (case of S. Milo\u0161evi\u0107)\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Students took an active part in the event: they gave presentations analysing the political activities of S. Milo\u0161evi\u0107. An important topic of discussion was the Hague Tribunal, which has become a symbol of the political and legal weakness of the West. The discussion on the possibilities of preserving Yugoslavia in the complex geopolitical realities of the 1990s was particularly interesting.<\/p>\n<p><em data-entity-type=\"MessageEntityItalic\">The students expressed their views on the issues, showing interest in Slobodan Milo\u0161evi\u0107\u2019s personality, as well as in the events and processes of that time. <strong data-entity-type=\"MessageEntityBold\">The event showed that the topic of the break-up of Yugoslavia remains relevant to this day.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<strong data-entity-type=\"MessageEntityBold\">Slobodan Milo\u0161evi\u0107<\/strong>\u00a0(1941 \u2013 2006) was a Yugoslav and Serbian statesman and politician, president of Serbia, first within Yugoslavia, then within the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. He was overthrown in 2000. Slobodan Milo\u0161evi\u0107 was indicted by the <strong data-entity-type=\"MessageEntityBold\">International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia<\/strong>.
