Head of the Representative Office of the Russian-Balkan Center for Business Cooperation and Culture in the Kaliningrad Region on the eve of the III International Economic Forum “Russia-the Balkans in the Architecture of a multipolar World. Prospects of economic integration” gave an exclusive interview to the Internet portal “Balkan Business Club”.
— The upcoming Russian-Balkan Economic Forum will become a unique platform for discussing the most important economic and political issues, as well as the possibilities of humanitarian cooperation between the countries of the Balkans and the regions of the Russian Federation. A delegation from the Kaliningrad region will definitely take part in a unique project!
Based on the results of last year’s project, it is safe to say that multipolarity and mutual respect are the main pillars of the Russian-Balkan Forum, which has been held in the capital for the third year in a row. Last year, more than 15 regions of the country and representatives from the Balkan Peninsula participated in the forum, and we discussed the prospects and importance of mutual cooperation.
It is encouraging that every year the theme of the importance of developing “horizontal” ties is raised – a million thin threads that, intertwining, form a huge cultural mosaic carpet. The instrument of this loom is people’s diplomacy! During this time, we have also done a huge job of establishing ties, and we are ready to share our experience in March in Moscow.
Business relations, culture, humanitarian cooperation, public diplomacy – all this will form the basis of new agreements between representatives of the regions of the Russian Federation and the Balkan Peninsula. We are going to the Forum with the hope of continuing our work. The result will be a long-term cooperation with our colleagues from the Balkans and Eastern Europe! We are going to a forum that will be a long-awaited meeting of friends!
