Participant of the forums “Russia-the Balkans in the architecture of a multipolar world. Prospects for Economic Integration” of the past years, the head of the Macedonian-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Deyan Besliev, stressed the importance of holding the third annual summit in Moscow, which will be held on March 13-14, 2026.
— It is important to note that businessmen from North Macedonia are interested in developing joint business projects with partners from Russian regions. The forum, which I have been lucky enough to attend twice already, is of great interest to Macedonians, as it opens up opportunities for us to expand cooperation with regions from the Russian Federation! — he emphasizes. — Our main task is to find Russian partners for Macedonian companies. It is a pity that the current geopolitical conditions do not facilitate bilateral communication, but representatives of the business community are looking for contacts in Russia and renewing previously broken ties for the sake of the future. I would like to note that the most preferred areas for cooperation are winemaking, agriculture, and tourism.
It should be recalled that the participation of Dejan Beshliev in the first and second annual forum literally shook the diplomatic community. In 2025, he also took part in the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, where an agreement on cooperation was signed between the Macedonian-Russian Chamber of Commerce and the Agency for Attracting Investments to the Ivanovo Region.
